Art for All to Enjoy
LexArts is a leader in the development of Lexington’s on-going public art program. The Dynamic Doors and Horse Mania projects that enlivened the streets of Lexington for so long have led to new anticipation about the possibility of public art in our community.
Horse Mania 2010
LexArts is currently soliciting sponsorships for the horses which will hit the streets July 1, 2010. Horse Mania will be on display for several monthes throughout the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. They will be auctioned off at Keeneland in December 2010.
Lexington Outdoor Mural Project
LexArts, in partnership with the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, has launched the Lexington Outdoor Mural Project (LOMP). LOMP is a collaborative initiative between neighborhoods, business people, civic leaders and artists to enhance the beauty of Lexington by creating public outdoor murals.
Four murals will be completed this fall.
